Lost Causes
Today is the feast day of Saint Jude, a relative of Jesus and the patron saint of lost causes. I think of him more often than other saints because there are a lot of 'lost causes' to pray for.
I'm Roman Catholic, a husband, a son, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle and a nephew. I'm a research scientist, computer programmer, and member of the Knights of Columbus. I am an athlete. In the last 10 years or so my faith has become very important to me, and now apparently I'm being led to spend more time and energy sharing this faith. In this blog I hope to encourage especially other men to work harder to develop their faith; to train their minds and bodies to seek and follow God's will - as athletes train to compete, as soldiers train to defend their country.
